Job Summary
The Online Volunteer collaborates with ERONet's Executive Director and program team to review the Strategic Plan 2026–2031 and build a 2026 Annual Work Plan. The volunteer defines activities, indicators, quarterly timelines, and targets using Results-Based Management to strengthen fundraising readiness and grassroots implementation in Northern Uganda.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. Strategic Translation & Activity Prioritization
- Strategy Review: Conduct a thorough review of ERONet's Strategic Plan 2026–2031 and organizational governance documents.
- Capacity Alignment: Identify and prioritize realistic Year One activities matched to ERONet’s current organizational capacity and local resource availability in Lamwo District.
- Results-Based Structuring: Translate high-level strategic objectives into clear annual activities, expected outputs, and measurable performance targets following RBM best practices.
2. Work Plan & Schedule Formulation
- Annual Matrix Development: Draft a comprehensive 2026 Annual Work Plan specifying objectives, core activities, key performance indicators (KPIs), realistic timelines, assigned responsible persons, and expected outcomes.
- Quarterly Implementation Schedule: Design a clear, operational quarterly implementation schedule to guide the program team's execution workflow.
3. Fundraising Readiness & Governance
- Donor-Ready Proposals: Highlight and recommend priority annual activities best suited for donor fundraising proposals and strategic partnership development.
- Grassroots Feasibility: Ensure the final annual roadmap remains simple, actionable, and tailored for execution by a growing community-based organization.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Required Technical Profile & Experience
- Professional Expertise: Proven experience in one or more of the following domains:
- Strategic Planning & Annual Work Planning
- Programme Design & Project Management
- Results-Based Management (RBM) & Logical Framework Approach (Logframe)
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
- Grant Proposal Development & NGO Organizational Development
- Grassroots Familiarity: Experience supporting grassroots, community-based organizations (CBOs), or local NGOs in developing countries is highly advantageous.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Time Commitment: Availability to dedicate 1 to 5 hours weekly over the 6-week project window.
