Job Summary
The Product Designer leads end-to-end design for clinical dashboard features, conducts user research with clinicians, and maintains the company's enterprise design system. This designer creates prototypes using Figma, collaborates with engineers and product managers during sprints, defines usability metrics (task completion speed, error rates, clinician NPS), and ensures complex data visualization complies with accessibility and safety standards.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Product Design & UI Architecture
- Full-Cycle Execution: Lead research, ideation, wireframing, high-fidelity visual design, and interactive prototyping for complex, data-heavy clinical workflows.
- Clinical Visualization: Craft clean, scannable interfaces that translate high-density patient data and real-time AI risk scores into clear bedside actions.
- Design Systems Governance: Develop, expand, and maintain a unified design system and reusable component library in Figma to ensure visual and functional consistency across all product modules.
2. User Research & Usability Measurement
- Field Research: Conduct qualitative interviews, contextual inquiries, and quantitative usability studies with practicing clinicians, care coordinators, and health system executives.
- UX Metrics Tracking: Establish, track, and optimize key design usability metrics, focusing specifically on task completion times, interface error rates, and clinician Net Promoter Scores (NPS).
- Design Culture & Critique: Facilitate regular design critique sessions across cross-functional squads to maintain a high bar of visual polish and interaction rigor.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Squad Alignment: Partner daily with Product Managers and Software Engineers to translate technical specifications into production-ready UI assets and oversee front-end implementation quality.
- Rationale Communication: Clearly articulate design decisions, trade-offs, and user research findings to both technical engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Required Technical Profile & Experience
- Design Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated product design experience in a fast-paced product organization.
- Portfolio Demonstrations: A strong design portfolio showing complex B2B software, enterprise tools, or data-dense dashboards.
- Tooling Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Figma and modern interactive prototyping tools (Protopie, Framer, or equivalent).
- Research Methodology: Solid grounding in user research methodologies, with hands-on experience running both qualitative user interviews and quantitative usability evaluations.
- Production Delivery: Verifiable track record of shipping production-grade UI components alongside engineering teams in agile environments.

- Prior design experience within healthcare, clinical decision support, or complex enterprise data visualization tools.
- Hands-on experience architecting and scaling multi-brand or large-scale design systems.
